ΚΑΝΑΔΙΚΗ NΑΤΙΟΝΑL POST: «Τα Σκόπια δεν είναι Μακεδονία – Οι απόγονοι του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου βρίσκονται στην Ελλάδα»

Άλλη μια ήττα υπέστησαν οι Σκοπιανοί στην προσπάθεια καταλήστευσης της ιστορίας μας, και συγκεκριμένα από ευρείας κυκλοφορίας καναδική εφημερίδα, όπου ξεκαθαρίζεται στο καναδικό κοινό που προφανώς δεν γνωρίζει τις λεπτομέρειες ότι οι Σκοπιανοί αυθαίρετα επιδιώκουν την οικειοποίηση της δόξας του αρχαίου μακεδονικού βασιλείου.

Πυρ και μανία οι Σκοπιανοί με την Καναδική εφημερίδα National Post. Σε χτεσινό της άρθρο σε στήλη για ταξιδιωτικούς προορισμούς, ο αρθρογράφος Bert Archer ασχολήθηκε με τα Σκόπια.Ανάμεσα σε άλλα, ο Archer τονίζει τα αυτονόητα. Τα Σκόπια δεν είναι Μακεδονία και η Μακεδονία του Μ. Αλεξάνδρου είναι στην Ελλάδα.

Last month, the National Post published an article entitled «A country called Macedonia» that contained scathing commentary about Greece – commencing with a reference to Greece’s economic strife and segueing into a critique of Greece’s opposition to the use of the name «Macedonia» by its northern neighbour. These accusations require a response.

Macedonia and the Macedonian identity have been integral parts of Greek history and culture since some of the first Hellenic tribes (known as Macedonians) settled northern Greek lands almost 4,000 years ago. Many renowned historians dispute the claims contained in the above-referenced article.

Apart from the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon – which existed almost entirely in what is now modern Greece – there had never been another «state» of Macedonia until communist Yugoslavia
